Using cash
In early 2020, South Korea and China began sterilizing, cleaning, and even burning money from high-infection areas. The Louvre in Paris banned cash payments. Toll booths in New Jersey banned cash as well. Whether or not cash can conclusively transfer COVID-19 is still being debated. Still, the pandemic is slowly pushing humanity toward a digital currency future.
