Initial room checks
Take the glassware and plates out of the cupboard. Look for fingerprints, grease prints, soap residue and streaks, and lipstick prints. Open the fridge and microwave and look for leftover food particles or trash. Open the drawers and closets and look for droppings, the signs of pests like mice.
