Sector performance may vary
The small cap industrial sector could be a leader in any breakout, due to minimal trade dispute risk. Since May 1st, the Russell 2000 has dropped only 0.8% relative to the 2.4% decline for the S&P 500. The financial sector also is currently undervalued, as smaller banks earnings have remained consistent throughout periods of low interest rates.
