Fans of the wildly popular “Flash” TV series may be shocked to know that the character is 80 years old. The original Flash, Jay Garrick, was introduced in 1940. A new legacy version of the Flash, Barry Allen, was introduced in 1959. In 2009, a near perfect copy of this comic was sold for $180,000.
