Michael Bloomberg is among the top 10 richest people in the world and, more recently, a presidential also-ran. Bloomberg has said in the past that cryptocurrencies have become worth hundreds of billions of dollars, so regulations around it need to be more stringent.
Bloomberg agrees that there’s a lot of room for criminal activity and fraud in the crypto world, but he thinks that can be improved. His failed presidential campaign platform included policies that would have protected consumers from crypto-based fraud and simplified the responsibilities of regulators, with a defined framework for coin offerings.
