Nevada businesses, clubs and venues must collect a sales tax of 5% to 10% from live music patrons. This tax is levied upon patrons for all admission, food and beverages and merchandising sales associated with live music entertainment.

There are exemptions for uncompensated performances of an instrumental or vocal-only nature that does not drown out patron conversations.
