Crypto Jumps Shark as Steven Seagal Launches Crypto

The actor Steven Seagal has had a storied career.

He was one of the first Americans to teach aikido in Japan, became an 80s-era action hero, and has been recognized as the reincarnation of a 17th Century Tibetan Buddhist master.

He has been an energy-drink spokesperson, military equipment hawker, friend of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, alleged Hollywood creep long before the #MeToo movement, former sheriff and author of a right wing conspiracy book The Way of the Shadow Wolves.

Now he is the face of cryptocurrency Bitcoin2Gen, known as Bitcoiin (yes, misspelled) or B2G.

This is real or it’s a ludicrous scam (as some contend). Either way, Seagal’s presence suggests a “jump the shark” moment in the making, the point after which even the least-aware investor would reasonably step back.

The coin’s whitepaper, excerpted in a press release, is a satirical mix of ideas referencing Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto.

At one point it confuses Bitcoin and Ethereum and offers vague assurances of revolutionizing finance through blockchain while guaranteeing anonymity and confidentiality.

The inspiration of Bitcoiin 2Gen, is to make a superior or more advanced version of Original Bitcoin: Therefore the next generation of Bitcoin, Bitcoiin 2Gen, proposing a self-sustaining cryptocurrency i.e. B2G, is the complete coin as it provides at launch its own eco-system, its own wallet, its own mining machines and the ability to exchange the coin to popular alt coins or FIAT currencies. Bitcoiin 2Gen uses Ethereum blockchain which is safer and faster blockchain than the Bitcoin’s blockchain. In addition, Bitcoiin 2Gen also provides benefits for staking the coin for a period of time and earning a predetermined interest rate.

Bitcoiin 2Gen, will in fact address current issues that are slowing down the Bitcoin eco-system and the limited opportunity for the enthusiasts to be able to earn by mining either with 1 machine or 1000. The original Bitcoin has already been exhausted because of its longer transactions time, big transactions fees, less earnings to miners, outreach from the common people and most important its core system , the blockchain itself.

As per the original Bitcoin, we also strongly believe in complete anonymity, as the whole basis of the original white paper “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” by Satoshi Nakamoto. Anonymity in cryptocurrencies is a matter of not just personal privacy, but also Confidentiality.

Fortune Magazine has called the coin a scam, pointing out the website (bitcoiin.com) has no technical information whatsoever.

Coindesk revealed the domain was originally registered in 2015, changed hands in early January, and is registered in Panama.

Nevertheless, to date it has raised more than $16 million.

Zen master

Seagal only disclosed his involvement on Feb. 20, when B2G released a press release entitled “Clarifying Allegations” made by Coindesk that the entire scheme is a multi-level marketing ponzi scheme to pump and dump their ICO, which took place in January.

The coin itself scheduled to hit exchanges in March. The company is predicting the coin will be worth $388 by December.

Seagal quoted a Chinese saying from Chuang Tsu: “Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate.”

Bitcoin2Gen seem delighted.

“For Bitcoiin2Gen, the choice of Zen Master, Steven Seagal is obvious as brand ambassador, this extends our long-term commitment towards the community,” the company said in a statement.

“Steven Seagal is a man of diverse character whose spiritual beliefs and humanity are woven into every aspect of his life.”
