Not insuring yourself
If you are the primary wage earner in your household you absolutely need to insure yourself. Otherwise, your family will struggle to make ends meet in your absence. To provide a financial safety net for your family, you need life insurance (pays your family if you pass away), disability insurance (replaces your income if you become partially or fully disabled), and long-term care insurance (covers your medical expenses in case you develop a chronic or critical illness). Most insurance companies allow you to buy a single life insurance policy and add disability and long-term care provisions in the form of riders.
