In 1980, Jeff Bezos was a humble 16-year-old fry cook at his local McDonalds. During his first week, Bezos had to clean up the mess created after a ketchup dispenser exploded. Young Bezos made about $2.69 an hour, or $8.40 now. As the founder of Amazon, he is worth about $117 billion today.
