With the exception of working, the study reveals that a retiree’s daily activities calendar will not differ substantially from that of most other adults. Since a good chunk of a retiree’s day is taken up by activities that don’t cost much, e.g., watching television, seniors shouldn’t incur any unexpected or extraordinary daily living expenses.
Retirees will find that a typical day won’t entail drastic changes from their pre-retirement lifestyle and that if they prepare a reasonable budget, their daily living expenses will be manageable.
