Rome’s famous Piazza di Spagna, known in English as the Spanish Steps, is a historic public monument and tourist attraction that was built in 1723. However, too many tourists use it as a rest stop or to picnic. You can now be fined up to $450 just for sitting down on the Spanish Steps.
