Most people think crop dusters or laborers spray produce once with pesticides. Yet a USDA study found that produce could contain traces of dozens of pesticides. More than 98% of the washed non-organic apples in the study were found to have 48 different pesticides on them. Cucumbers may have almost 70 kinds of pesticide residue. Oranges? About 15.
