Golf club experiments in outer space for $15 million

Many experiments performed on NASA space missions are privately sponsored for commercial concerns. In 2014, NASA spent over $15 million to have golf clubs and related equipment performance tested in zero gravity. The aim was to use collected data to extrapolate how to make more durable, longer lasting equipment that was less prone to corrosion.
