Inflexibility over salary offers
More than 36% of older American workers believe that ageism played a role in their being passed over for a job. While that may be true, inflexibility concerning salary offers don’t help. Its insulting to be offered less money than a previous job. Instead of declining, negotiate for additional perks such as vacation time or medical benefits.
