5 Outrageously Expensive Objects Sold at Auction

Jeff Koon’s “Rabbit” sculpture

Artist Jeff Koons created a toy rabbit-shaped sculpture out of reflective stainless steel in 1986. In May 2019, Koon’s “Rabbit” sold for $91 million at Christie’s. It’s the most expensive piece of art sold by a living artist in history. Robert E. Mnuchin, the father of U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, made the winning bid.
