Never Say These Things in Your Real Estate Ad

More than 5.3 million American homes were sold in 2018? And, 87% of people who sold their homes did it through a real estate agent.

That means that less than 13% of people sold their home through various direct advertising methods to attract buyers — everyone else paid those fat realtor commissions.

Most people trying to sell on their own place real estate ads on the Internet. Since the average asking price for home now ranges between $200,000 and $265,000 every word in your real estate ad counts.

Make sure that what you say in your ad doesn’t count against your need for a sale. Here are some words and phrases to avoid.

Small-cap winners galore
