In 1988, William “Bud” Post III bought a lottery ticket and won $16 million. His brother then tried to kill him for inheritance rights. Post bought an airplane he couldn’t fly. He was in debt three months after winning and was bankrupt by the early 1990s. Post died in 2006 living on $450 monthly in food stamps.
