Automation will ignite political ire
Conservative-leaning states and regions of the country, such as rural areas and the Rust Belt, are more in danger of automation employment replacement than other states. These are states that already feel forgotten by the rest of the country, have high unemployment rates, and are stoked by social class resentment. Automation will make things worse.
