Palladium has captured the auto industry market
Automobile emissions standards continue to tighten, stimulating already strong demand for this precious metal. Palladium’s sister metal, platinum, can also be used in catalytic converters, its end-use is for vehicles powered by diesel engines. However, diesel engines represented only 2.9% of total gas-powered vehicles sold in the U.S.
