Ugly produce alternatives
A lot of unharvested produce is mulched back into soil as nutrient augmenters. Lots of ugly produce is processed into juices, jams, and canned products. Some is even used for animal feed. A minimal amount is donated to food banks. Too much of it is wasted because supermarkets and groceries can only sell aesthetically pleasing produce.
