Amazon’s shaky defense
Amazon argues that it merely provides a platform for the sale of the defective products. As such, it argues that it can’t be held liable for injuries sustained by consumers who purchase products on its site that were manufactured and designed by third parties, leaving aside that most things Amazon sells online are made by third parties.
