Fewer people visit the mall
Consumers abandoning the mall is not a recent development. Financial experts have been tracking declining mall visitation numbers for more than a decade. More than 35 million people visited the mall in 2010 but only about 17 million people were going to the mall by 2013. That’s a decline of 50% in less than three years!
