Expect regulation
The disclosure about unsafe products has prompted inquiries by several U.S. senators, who have requested that Amazon take steps to ensure that accurate warning labels are affixed to products it offers for sale on its site. U.S. regulators are not going to accept Amazon’s anticipated claim that it can’t be held responsible for other party’s non-compliance with federal regulations.
