Demantoid garnet
You will find it difficult to get demantoid garnet gemstones larger than 2 carats. They are usually much smaller. Also, unlike most gemstones, they are hardly ever cut. This garnet was discovered in Russia in the mid-1800s. It’s worth about $3,300 per carat.
