Castor oil does not contain ricin and is considered “GRAS” (generally recognized as safe) by the FDA.
The World Health Organization (WHO) deems castor oil to be safe at a dosage of 0.7 mg/kg of body weight, which is roughly one tablespoon for adults and one teaspoon for children.
